Community Trees 2024
A Huge Success
On Saturday, May 4, close to 400 Belleville residents attended Community Trees 2024. They lined up at Belleville Market Square to select from the tree seedlings on offer to city property owners. At the “tree table”, people could choose from a large menu of native tree and shrub species.
Community Trees is an initiative of the City of Belleville Green Task Force in partnership with Rotary Loves Trees and Quinte Conservation. It has become an extremely popular and well attended event.
At this year’s event, 2,000 seedlings were provided free of charge to city residents eager to plant trees to beautify their properties and also help protect and improve their city’s environment.
